1] no it cant be accelerated when the velocity is uniform. 2>yes Eg:a car covers some distance and comes back to the same point .Here, displacement is zero but distance covered may be different.

1. no motion of the body cannot be accelerated during uniform motion.
2. yes, bcoz. displacement is the shortest distance between initial and final point of the body. if we travel 12km from point A and stop our travelling at point A itself.
then distance travelled is 12 km.
but displacement will be zero.
so displacement can be zero ,if also distance is not 0.
