1. Christopher Columbus wanted to discover a sea route to India but landed in the Bahamas, islands off the coast of North America.
How do you think he would have felt when he realized that he never did discover the route to India?
Imagine you are Christopher Columbus and write a brief note describing the feelings/emotions you have on your failure to discover a sea route to India.

Answer:

(written from Columbus' perspective)

Explanation:

Today wasn't a great day. I had set off from Spain to find India. I wanted to bring back the rich cargoes of silk and spices, but I miscalculated and landed up at Bahamas. I feel really disappointed because I let down King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. I hope the King and the Queen won't be angry at me. All my work went in vain and proved to be a waste of time. My sailors were drained of energy too. I promise myself that I will check for accuracy in my calculations the next time I set off from Spain.
