Equation 1 : ( - 5x + y = 23 )

Equation 2 : ( 17x - 3y = - 8 ) [ Rewriting the equation in the proper format ]

So let us apply the coefficient rule in this pair of equations.

So let the coefficients of x be a and a₁ and coefficients of y be b and b₁ and constants be c and c₁.

a / a₁ = - 5 / 17

b / b₁ = 1 / - 3

Since a / a₁ ≠ b / b₁, we can say that the equations can have a unique set of a single real solution.

Hence the equations will have a unique and a real solution.

Hope my answer helped !
