1. Diagonals bisect at 90 degrees => square

Diagonals do not bisect at 90 degrees=> Rectangle

2. A rectangle has two dimensions

3. area of square = (side) ^2 = 2^2 = 4cm^2

hence the area of the square is 4cm^2
