I couldn't sleep. I was tossing and turning for hours. There was heavy thunder and lightning outside, all of a sudden I head a strange noise coming from downstairs. I first thought that I was hallucinating due to the fact of not getting any sleep. I decided to ignore it and try to go back to sleep. However, my mind was changed once I heard it again. I decided to go and investigate. I slowly and quietly got out of bed and made my way down the stairs. It was pitch black, I looked at the time and it read 3:15 AM. I grabbed something I could use as a weapon that was near me. It was an umbrella. I realized that I was screwed if someone or something was actually there. I saw a shadow run across the room. At this point I was terrified. I decided to follow the shadow figure. Big mistake. As I turned a corner I felt a sharp pain in my head then felt something trickling down my head. Blood. Next thing I know I passed out and woke up somewhere unfamiliar. The End
