a number is increased by 5 is 2 times the number and 5

and (3×/5) +4 =quotient increased by 4 and we are told that this equals 34;

(3×/5) +4=34

multiply each term by 5

((3×/5).(5)) +4.5=34.5

simplify

3×+20=170 subtract 20 from both sides

3.) ANSWER

3×+20= 20-20= 170 -20collect like terms

3×=150devide both sides by 3

×=50----------------ans

(150/5)+4=34

34=34
