Given :   a quadrilateral PQRS, where PQ = 4.5 cm, QR =5.5 cm, RS =4 cm, SQ = 6 cm, PR = 7 cm.

To Find : Construct  quadrilateral

Solution:

Step 1:  Draw a line segment PQ = 4.5 cm

Step 2 : Using compass width = 5.5 cm and taking Q as center draw an arc

Step 3 : Using compass width = 7 cm and taking P as center draw an arc such that it intersects arc drawn in previous step at R

Step 4: Join QR

Step 5:  Using compass width = 4 cm and taking R as center draw an arc

Step 6 : Using compass width = 6 cm and taking Q as center draw an arc such that it intersects arc drawn in previous step at S

Step 7 : Join RS and PS

quadrilateral PQRS is constructed
