Construct a rectangle ABCD given

We know that in rectangle measure of each angle is 90° and opposite sides are equal.

⇒  Draw a line segment AB=6cm.

⇒  Construct angle of 90o at points A and B

⇒  Cut off AD=5cm and BC=5cm

⇒  Join CD.

Construct a rectangle ABCD given

AB = 5.8 cm, BC = 4.6 cm

⇒draw a line segment AB = 5.8 cm

⇒open compass  4.6 cm and from B mark the point C on line BL ∴ BC = 4.6 cm

⇒same with A  mark a point D on the line AM .∴

join C to D .

⇒then, ABCD is the required rectangle.
