To Find : Construct a triangle ABC

Solution:

Step 1 : Draw a line segment BC = 4 cm

Step 2 : Using compass width = 3 cm and taking N as center draw an arc

Step 3 : Using compass width = 2.5 cm and taking C as center draw an arc intersecting arc drawn in previous step at A

Step 4 :  Join AB & AC

ΔABC is constructed

Step 1 : Draw a line segment PQ = 6 cm

Step 2 : Draw perpendicular bisector of PQ , intersecting PQ at M

Step 3 : using compass width = PM or QM  and taking M as center draw a semicircle

Step 4 : using compass width = 3 cm and taking Q as center draw an arc intersecting semicircle at R

Step 5 : Join QR  & PR

ΔPQR is constructed.
