Answer:
- Cooking utensils are made uo of copper and aluminium because they are good conductors of heat and hence food can be easily cooked in them. Their handles are made up of plastic because plastic is poor conductor of heat due to which the handles do not get heated and we are sble to hold the utensil with their help.
- Ships are made of iron and a part of the ship always remain under sea water. The salts present in sea water increase the rate of rusting on ships and hence, ships suffer a lot of damage due to rusting.
- The reason is when you join two thin blankets together; they trap a thin sheet of air between them. That sheet of air acts as insulator providing much better warmth than one thick blanket.

Answer:
1)Handles of cooking utensils are made of wood because wood is insulator of heat and so does not get heated while cooking. If they will be made of iron then it will get heated and we will not be able to hold them. Plastic is used to make handles of cooking utensils because it is also insulator of heat.
2)Ships are made of iron and a part of the ship always remain under sea water. The salts present in sea water increase the rate of rusting on ships and hence, ships suffer a lot of damage due to rusting.
3)Two thin blankets usually warmer than one thick blanket because air is trapped between them. And the air is bad conductor of heat. It does not pass heat from our body to the surroundings.
