1. Copper sulphate and zinc react to produce zinc sulphate and copper. Write the equation for the reaction
2. Balance the following equation:

CuSO4 + Mg à MgSO4 + Cu
3. Write the reaction of copper sulphate and iron react to give iron sulphate and copper.
4. Complete this equation:

Answer:

1.on adding zinc to CuSO4 solution, zinc displaces copper from copper sulphate & forms zinc sulphate solution because zinc is more reactive metal which displaces less reactive metal from its solution. ... CuSO4 solution has a blue colour while ZnSO4 solution is colourless.

2.Mg ( Magnesium ) is more reactive than Cu ( Copper ) so hence it displaces it from its Salt solution that is Copper Sulphate to Magnesium Sulphate.

3.The over all reaction will be, Fe+CuSO4=======>FeSO4 +Cu. The blue colour of copper sulphate will gradually disappear and at the end of the reaction, the solution will attain a pale green colour due to the formation of Ferrous ion. Copper metal will be deposited as a red or red-brown precipitate.

4.CuCl2 + 2 Pb → Cu + 2 PbCl - Balanced equation

5.Cu + AgNO3 = Cu(NO3)2 + Ag.
