Corruption is a social crime because it serves as an obstacle to the sustainable development of the citizens of the country.


It cripples the economy.


It is the cause of undermining revenue owned by the government which limits its ability to invest productively.


It would question the role of the government as tax collector and the role of businessmen and other individuals as tax payers.
