(1 -  {cos}^{2}  \theta) {sec}^{2}  \theta

  = {sin}^{2}  \theta. {sec}^{2}  \theta

 =  {sin}^{2}  \theta. \frac{1}{ {cos}^{2}  \theta}

 =  \frac{ {sin}^{2}  \theta}{ {cos}^{2}  \theta }

 =  {tan}^{2}  \theta
