1 - cos A / sin A = sin A / 1 + cos A

LHS = 1 - cos A / sin A

Rationalise the denominator

Therfore

1 - cos A / sin A × sin A/sinA

sin A (1 - cos A)/sin² A

sin A (1 - cos A) / 1 - cos² A

sin A (1 - cos A) / (1 + cos A) (1- cos A)

=sin A / 1 + cos A

= RHS
