Step-by-step explanation:

LHS

1/cosθ- cosθ

or, 1 - cos²θ/ cosθ

∵  1 - cos²θ = sin²θ

So, sin²θ/ cosθ

or sinθ× sinθ/ cosθ................ [∵ sinθ/cosθ= tanθ]

= tanθ.sinθ

hence proved LHS = RHS .
