1 cow costs 1 rupee. 1 buffalo costs 5 rupees. 20 goats cost 1 rupee. With 100 rupees, i bought a total of 100 animals of all three types. How many of each animal did i buy?

Interesting question!

x + y + z = 100

0.05x + y +5z = 100. …. x is no . of goats ..0.05 rupees can buy 1 goat.

If u solve the above you get (99/19)z = 100 - y

If u take y as 1 then the numerator gets cancelled on both sides.

Hence you get

X = 80

Y = 1

Z = 19 .
