Relativism doesn’t provide us with any protection. It doesn’t protect much of anything of value.

Cultural relativism is the equivalent of a person or government not having a backbone. It’s the equivalent of pouring water in the gas tank of anything of value. It’s the opposite of helpful, constructive, or productive.

We can respect and tolerate—without the absolute false equivalence of “all cultures are equally valuable”. It is important to study culture and preserve culture, but even cultures don’t believe that all culture is equally valuable, because you can’t run a culture like that. There is a decision-point in which choices have to me made based on priorities and values.
