1 cusec means 1 cubic feet  of a substance.
1 foot = 12" = 12 * 2.54 cm = 30.48 cm

1 cusec = 30.48 * 30.48 * 30.48 cm³ / 1000 cm³   liters
    = 28.317 liters.

“1 Cusec  = 28.317 litres per second”

Given:

1 Cusec

To find :

The value of 1 Cusec is equal to in  litres

Solution:

Cusec is used for the measurement of flow rate.

Cusec = cubic feet per second.

1 feet=30.48 cm

1 \text { cubic feet }=30.48 \times 30.48 \times 30.48=28316.8 \mathrm{cm}^{3}

To convert cm into litres divide it into 1000

=\frac{28316.8}{1000}=28.317

“1 Cusec  = 28.317 litres per second”

Therefore, in the question when we are given the value of flow rate equals to  1 Cusec, that means the flow rate is 28.317 litres per second.

Cusec is not a fundamental unit. It is a derived unit as it is derived using the fundamental units of volume and time.
