• Dhaka(?)= 8 p.m./20 hrs
• Missouri, USA(90° W)=?

(i) Difference in time=20-14 hrs

• =6 hrs

1 hr=60 mins

6 hrs=? mins

• =6 × 60
• =360 mins

4 mins=1° longitude

360 mins=?° longitude

• =360÷4
• =360/4
• =90° longitude

Since the time of the match of Dhaka to start is comparatively more when compared to that of Greenwich Meridian, the degree of longitude must be added and Dhaka is in the East of Greenwich.

• =0+90° longitude
• =90°E

Answer: 90°E

(ii) Sum of longitudes=

• 0°+90°
• 90°
