1. leaf can be decolourised by boiling it and placing it in an alcohol bath. It shows that white patches do not photosynthesize as iodine turns blue black in the presence of starch. To decolourise a leaf we have to first take a beaker half-filled with water. Then we should boil it

3. Pitcher plants are famous for their flesh-eating ways, and they rely on slippery surfaces to trap their prey. Its pitcher-shaped traps are made from rolled up leaves, and secrete nectar from their rims to catch their prey.

4. The green plants which obtain their food partly from insects are called insectivorous plants, whereas the plants which live on or inside another organism and derives their food from it are called parasitic plants

5. This relationship between Algae and Fungi is known as mutualism or symbiotic relationship.

The algal part known as the phycobiont and the fungal part known as mycobiont share a symbiotic relationship between them.

The fungi is responsible for absorbing minerals and water which is in turn provided to the algae that uses them in order to make food using their own chlorophyll.

This prepared food is then taken in by the fungi.In this way both are dependent on each other.
