Answer:1) Acids are those chemical substances that have a sour taste. Example: Acetic acid and citric acid.

Alkali- Bases that are soluble in water are called Alkalis. example : Sodium hydroxide, Potassium hydroxide,etc .

2) A metal carbonate reacts with an acid to produce a salt, carbon dioxide and water . Metal carbonate + Acid ------> Salt + CO2 + H20.

3) The reaction between an acid and a base to give salt and water is known as neutralisation reaction. NaOH + H2SO4 ------> Salt + water
