1. Define coulambs law.
2. What is heating effect of current?
3. On what factor does resistivity depends.
Answers
Answer:
1) The force of attraction or repulsion acting along a straight line between two electric charges is directly proportional to the product of the charges and inversely to the square of the distance between them .
2)When an electric current is passed through a conductor, the conductor becomes hot after some time and produce heat. This happens due to the conversion of some electric energy passing through the conductor into heat energy. This effect of electric current is called heating effect of current.
3)Temperature
The resistivity of a material is the resistance of a wire of that material of unit length and unit cross-sectional area. The unit for resistivity is the ohm-metre. The resistivity of a material depends on its nature and the temperature of the conductor, but not on its shape and size.
