1) Dendrict pattern - river with tributaries which resemble the branches of a tree is called a Dendrict pattern .

2) Trellis pattern - When tributaries join the main river at right angles , it is called a Trellis pattern

3) Rectangular pattern - it is formed on a strongly joined rocky terrain is called as rectangular pattern.

4) Radial pattern - streams flow in a different direction from a central peak and forms a dome like structure . it is known as radial pattern
