In physics, angular frequency ω is a scalar measure of rotation rate. It refers to the angular displacement per unit time or the rate of change of the phase of a sinusoidal waveform, or as the rate of change of the argument of the sine function.

Frequency :-

Frequency is the number of occurrences of a repeating event per unit of time. It is also referred to as temporal frequency, which emphasizes the contrast to spatial frequency and angular frequency. Frequency is measured in units of hertz which is equal to one occurrence of a repeating event per second

Angular frequency :-

Angular frequency (ω), also known as radial or circular frequency, measures angular displacement per unit time. Its units are therefore degrees (or radians) per second. Hence, 1 Hz ≈ 6.28 rad/sec. Since 2π radians = 360°, 1 radian ≈ 57.3°.
