distance :distance and displacement a two quantities that may seems to mean the same meaning. distance is scalar quantity that refers to how much ground and object has covered during its motion.

displacement: displacement is and vector quantity that object that refers to how far out the place an object is it is an object overall changing position.

Answer:

1)Distance: It is the actual path covered by an moving object irrespective of the direction. It is a scalar quantity. It is measured in metres (m).

2) Displacement:The shortest path from the initial position to the final position taken by the body ,alongwith direction is known as displacement. It is a vector quantity. It is measured in metres

3) Velocity:Velocity of an object is the distance travelled in a particular direction by it per unit minute. It is a vector quantity. m/s is its SI unit.

v=distance travelled/time=s/t

4) Acceleration:The rate of change of velocity of the bodily with time. It is a vector quantity. It's SI unit is m/s^2.

a=(v - u)/t where v is the final velocity,u is the initial velocity,t is the time taken and a is the acceleration.
