The centre of gravity (COG) of the human body is a hypothetical point around which the force of gravity appears to act. It is point at which the combined mass of the body appears to be concentrated. Because it is a hypothetical point, the COG need not lie within the physical bounds of an object or person.

Answer:

Basically it is a point where gravitational force acts on any body and for small objects it lies at centre and we know centre of mass will also lie at centre(if body is symmetrical) here we can see both will coincide.but in case of large bodies for eg. mount everest both the points will be different.

By the way centre of mass is a point where we assume the mass of whole body is concentrated in rigid bodies. and treat it as a point object.
