Democracy
In a democracy, it is the people who give the
power to the government to make decisions.
People do this through elections. In a democratic
system, elections are periodic, that is, people elect
representatives after a fixed number of years. Each
adult citizen of the country has the right to vote
At the time of election, the adult citizens vote
for candidates of their choice and these elected
representatives form the government.
The biggest advantage of this system is that the
government is answerable to the people for its
activities and decisions. If the people are not
satisfied with the functioning of the current
government, they may not vote for their
representatives in the next elections.
the question is why is democracy important from this paragraph only fimd the answer please very urgent i will mark as brainliest please i will follow please
