Answer:

A pluralist democracy describes a political system where there is more than one center of power. Modern democracies are by definition pluralist as democracies allow freedom of association. However, pluralism may exist without democracy.

Answer:

  • Democracy in India is associated with a plurality of ideas and ways of life. The ensuing points support the said statement When we say, India embraced a popular constitution, it doesn't simply mean that India espoused that format of the election. The choice was larger than that.
  • It was a choice in favour, recognising and accepting the actuality of differences which could at times be contrary to each other. In other words, it was associated with a plurality of ideas and ways of life.
  • India is a country of different persuasions and testaments and despite differences, people have the freedom to express their views and equal representation in decision-making bodies. They're free to accept any religion.
  • In a democracy, people handpick their campaigners, and these campaigners form the government.
  • The government is laterally run by people and any citizen can take part in the election and every citizen above the age of 18 is entitled to give his/ her vote to handpick their representative.
  • Therefore, we can say that elections play a major part in democracy.
