1. Osmosis in Potato:
- First the potato should be peeled and then cut the middle of the potato and place it in sugar solution.
- Then mark the solution level and then place the potato in a beaker filled with a colored solution.
- Wait for some time then it can be noticed that the sugar solution will be colored and the level will be rises due to the osmosis.
2. Number of chromosomes:
- Man has 46 pairs of chromosomes, cattle has 60 pairs, chicken has 78 pairs, dog has 78 pairs, donkey has 62 pairs,frog has 26 pairs,fruit flies has 8 pairs, grasshopper has 24 pairs, kangaroo has 16 pairs and koala has 16 pairs.
3. Contribution of various scientist:
- In 1883, Andreas Schimper was the first man to give the definition of the plastid.
- In 1890, the scientist Richard Altmann was gave the name to the organelle bioblasts.
- In 1898, Carl Benda gave the name mitochondria.
