1)let us take the first case. u would have definitely known about hydraulic lifts. it consists of a u tube filled with a liquid, a piston on one side and the weight to be lifted on another side.if u push the piston down, it creates a pressure on the liquid and as a result the weight on the other side is pushed upward. this shows that liquid excerts pressure

2)the gas cylinders we use at home for cooking, if the knob is opened the gas inside comes out. this happens only if the gas is compressed inside the cylinder which inturn creates a pressure on the gas which forces it to move out if the knob is opened
