Hi students! The features of Indian agriculture are:
- Two-thirds of the Indian population are engaged in agricultural activities.
- The major part of the agriculture is still rain-fed.
- The major crops are rice, wheat, millets, maize, pulses, sugarcane and oilseeds.
- Large areas have been brought under irrigation.
- Means of transport and facilities for storing food are inadequate and roads are un-metalled.
