Answer:

Explanation:

1.) In its heyday in the 15-16th centuries Hampi was an important centre of commercial and cultural activities. Moors, which was a name used collectively for Muslim merchants, Chettis and agents of European traders such as the Portuguese, visited the markets of Hampi. Temples were the hub of cultural activities.

2.) The demographic-spatial aspects of urbanisation deal with shift of people from rural to urban areas, population density in urban areas and change in the pattern of land use from agriculture to non-agricultural activities.

3.) Gujarati traders, including the communities of Hindu Baniyas and Muslim Bohras, traded extensively with the ports of the Red Sea, Persian Gulf, East Africa, South-east Asia and China. They sold textiles and spices in these ports. In exchange they brought gold and ivory from Africa.

4.) The community comprises five sub-groups—carpenters, blacksmiths, bronze smiths, goldsmiths and stonemasons—who believe that they are descendants of Vishvakarma, a Hindu deity. They worship various forms of this deity and follow five Vedas—Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, Atharvaveda, and Pranava Veda.

5.) Policies of east Indian company:-

British said no to expansion.

The crown took control of administration (earlier it was under company)

Administrative reforms were introduced to restore law and order.

Indians were admitted into civil services.

Revenue reforms were introduced.
