Yes I have traveled via train on a route that was 4 hours long. It was a normal passenger train with several sections. I got my seat in parlour class. The train was as beautiful from inside as it looked from outside. The seats were quite spacious and the train was well maintained. Our train followed a strict timeline and there was no delay in its route. The best thing I liked about my journey was that in train you have enough space and flexibility to get up from your seat, have a go around, warm up your legs and then relax again
