1 : bacterial cell are prokaryotic
and plant cell are eukaryotic..
The movement of water molecules into the cell when it is placed hypotonic solution is called endomoisos.
when cell is placed in a hypertonic solution water moves out first from cytoplasm and then from vacuole, cell membrane shrinks away from cell wall it is known as plasmolysis.

Significance of Osmosis

(1)Entry of water in to the roots from the soil takes place by this process.

(2)Cell to cell diffusion of water is controlled through this process.

(3)Young cells require turgid condition for their growth which is fulfilled by osmosis.

(4)Turgidity of cells is maintained by the process of osmosis.

importance of diffusion in biology

Diffusion is the movement of a substance from a region of higher concentrationto a region of lower concentration. Diffusion is the movement of gas or solute molecules from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration until they are equal.

Diffusion is important to organisms because it is the process by which useful molecules enter the body cells and waste products are removed.
