Answer:1) Following were the main features of the Permanent Settlement: (a)The rajas and taluqdars were recognised as zamindars. (b)They were responsible for collecting revenue from peasants and paying to the Company. (c)Revenue demand was permanently fixed.

2)Under the Permanent Settlement, the rates of revenue were fixed permanently, i.e. it was not to be increased ever in future. But in the mahalwari system it was decided that the rate of revenue would be revised periodically, not permanently fixed.

Under the Permanent Settlement, the zamindars were given the charge of collecting revenue from the peasants and paying it to the Company. But in the mahalwari system this charge was given to the village headman.

3)Munro system also called as ryotwari system was introduced by Thomas munro during British rule in india. It's features are as follows: In this system, the British collected revenue directly from the tenants. The revenue was fixed at half the value of the crop.
