I have sometimes seen my mother and father both in the kitchen, they were having that like:

mother= add more salt and father= that much is okk.

I have seen like this small discussion between them, I have not seen so much arguments as my father is a service man, he usually didn't get time to get into the kitchen...so my mother fully takes care of the kitchen.
