but the Rajya sabha is called upper house of parliament

The Lok Sabha has maximum member 552 where as the 550 are represented the state and union Territory 2 are elected by the president by the Anglo Indian community .

but in the Rajya sabha there are 250 where as 238 are represented by the state and union Territory and 12 are nominated by the president.

the members of Lok Sabha is elected for the terms of 5 years.

but The members of Rajya sabha are elected for the term of 6 years whereas the members of Rajya sabha retired in every 2 years one third of members
