2nd part = 84×4/7 = 48

b. 2 meters in 11:14

1st part = 2×11/25 = 0.88

2nd part = 2×14/25 = 1.12

c.

let the three persons be A, B and C

A's share = 1/6×4800 = 800

B's share = 2/6×4800 = 1600

C's share = 3/6×4800 = 2400

d.

5 litres in 11:17:22

1st part = 5×11/50 = 1.1 lts

2nd part = 5×17/50 = 1.7 lts

3rd part = 5×22/50 = 2.2 lts

2.

let the three persons be A, B and C

A's share = 3/15×75,000 = 15,000

B's share = 4/15×75,000 = 20,000

C's share = 8/15×75,000 = 40,000

the greatest side be 2x = 8 x = 4

other sides = x = 4

next side = 1.5(4) = 6
