Answer:

1. Divide the first number by the second number and then divide the second number by the first

Then check ifabba?

18, 6-3 NO (ii) a = 420, b = 15 (iii) a = -608, b =-8 (iv) a = 2

2. Check out the associative property of division for the given three integers.

(i) 14,(-2), 6

(ii) 18, 3, (-6)

(iu) 20, (-5), 10

(iv) -105

Question:-

Divide the first number by the second number and then divide the second number by the first?

Given:-

formula

a ÷ b = b ÷ a

Answer :-

i) a = 18

b = -3

ATF(at the basis of formula)

18 ÷ (-3) = (-3) ÷ 18

= -6 = 1/6

ii) a = 420

b = 15

ATF

420÷15=15÷420

= 28=1/20

iii) a=-608

b=-8

ATF

(-608)÷(-8)=(-8)÷(-608)

= 76 = 1/76

iv) a=-224

b=-16

ATF

(-224)÷(-16)=(-16)÷(-224)

= 14=1/14
