Given:-

  • Power of lens (P) = 2D

To Find:-

  • Focal Length (f)

Solution:-

As we know that the power of lens is defined as the reciprocal of its focal length .

Si unit of Power of lens is dioptre (D)

→ P = 1/f

substitute the value we get

→ 2 = 1/f

→ 2×f = 1

→ f = 1/2 m.

→ f = 0.5m

The Focal length of the lens is 0.5 m
