PA is tangent to circle  of length = √12 cm  of circle with radius = 2cm

Step-by-step explanation:

tangent segment of length √12 cm

Radius = 2 cm

Distance of point p from center  = √ ((√12)² + 2²)

= √(12 + 4)

= √16

= 4

Cos θ= 2/4 = 1/2

=> θ = 60°

Step 1 : Draw a circle with radius = 2 cm using compass taking o as center

Step 2 : Draw  a Line OP  of length = 4 cm

Step 3 : Draw an angle of 60 °  at O on OP  and intersect circle at A

Step 4 : Join PA

PA is tangent to circle  of length = √12 cm
