Answer:

An electric light bulb is a device which produces light when electricity is passed through its terminals.

i) It consists of a coiled filament made of tungsten.

ii) The filament is supported by thin, straight support wires. The support wires stand on a glass mount, which is connected to the terminals.

iii) Terminals are the points at which the bulb is connected to a path of electric current.

iv) The entire set-up is enclosed in a glass case. The space inside the glass case is filled with an inert gas or non-reactive gas.

When electricity is passed through the terminals of the bulb, the filament gets heated up and produces light.
