1. Draw any angle XAY and on its one arm AX, mark points (say five points) P,Q,D,R and B such that AP = PQ= QD= DR = RB.

2. If in two triangles ABC and PQR

AB÷QR = BC÷PR = CA÷ PQ then, which one is the correct answer (find the answer) and explain it ?

3. If ∆ABC ~ ∆QRP, ar ∆ABC
-------------
ar ∆QRP
AB=18cm and BC = 15cm. Then PR is equal to?

4. ABCD is a trapezium with AB // DC. E and F are points on non - parallel sides AD and BC respectively such that EF is parallel to AB. Show that

Given :  angle XAY

To find  :  Mark P,Q,D,R and B such that AP = PQ= QD= DR = RB

Solution:

Draw a line  AX

Using protractor draw angle at A on AX

Draw a ray AY on angle drawn

Using compass take suitable width taking A as center cut line AX at P

Keeping compass width same taking P as center cut line AX at Q

Keeping compass width same taking Q as center cut line AX at D

Keeping compass width same taking D as center cut line AX at R

Keeping compass width same taking R as center cut line AX at B

AP = PQ = QD = DR = RB
