1) During change of state, temperature does not rise or fall. What happens to the heat energy supplied or given out? Explain.​

As a result the temperature of the substance does not change. Eg: Ice remains at 0ºC for a while even if heat is being supplied to it, because this heat energy is used up in breaking the forces of cohesion (attraction) between the molecules.
