Answer:

The Haryana government will soon sign a memorandum of understanding with the Telangana government to strengthen cultural ties between the states under the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ programme. Addressing a MODI (Making of Developed India) fest Programme organised here, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said Telangana was the partner of his state in the Surajkund Mela held in February this year. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat (One India, Great India) scheme wherein one state each year can choose and partner with other state to promote their culture and language.

“Haryana and Telangana have become partner states this year under ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’. An MoU in this regard is pending.Manohar Lal Khattar will meet the Telangana Chief Minister very soon…we will sign an MoU whether it is here in Hyderabad, Chandigarh or Delhi. There will be tours of people of Haryana to Telangana and vice versa enabling the people understand each other. There are several good things both Telangana and Haryana have and that will attract people of both the states to understand and learn and promote cultural exchange. a lot of people from Telangana also work in Haryana and they are also thinking of starting Telugu course in any institute be it University or College in Haryana

Explanation:

When it was launched on 31 October 2015, the Narendra Modi government’s Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme had one objective — to promote national integration by engaging states and union territories in cultural, academic and economic exchanges.

Four years on, the government wants to use the reach of the programme to push through another objective — promote 20 of its flagship schemes by carrying out a multimedia publicity blitzkrieg right down to the districts where the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat is active.

The schemes include the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Digital India, Poshan Abhiyaan, the Mudra scheme, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana, Indradhanush and the Swachh Bharat Mission among others.
