1. Even though wires inside electric plugs melt, the plugs do not melt. Why?

ELECTRIC PLUGS DO NOT MELT EVEN THOUGH THE WIRE INSIDE IS OVERHEATED BECAUSE ELECTRIC PLUGS, SWITCHES ETC. ARE MADE OF THERMOPLASTICS. THERMOPLASTICS CAN RESIST FIRE AND TOLERATE MORE HEAT AND SO IT DOES NOT MELT.
