1. The Application of scattering of light:-
a) The sky appears blue during a clear cloudless day because the molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light.
b) During sunrise and sunset, the sky appears red and orange because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight.
2. The Application of atmospheric refraction:-
a)The apparent random wavering or flickering of object seen through a turbulent stream of hot air rising above a fire or a radiator.
b)Twinkling of stars.
c)Advanced sunrise and delayed sunset.
d)Apparent flattening of the sun’s disc at sunrise and sunset.
e)The stars seems higher than they actually are.
