contact forces are those forces which need to be in contact in with surface of the body to act upon. for eg. frictional force or normal force or pushing force or pulling force

non contact forces are those forces which do need to be in contact with the body and act through the field effect for eg. gravitational force or magnetic force or electrostatic force.
