- Hydrogen have 1 electron in its outermost cell which hydrogen loose or gain to complete it's near Nobel Gas(Hillium) configuration and become stable .So it is in group 1 (alkali metal ) having tendency to loose a electron and group 17 (halogen family) having tendency to gain a electron .
- The hydrogen form Alkali metal(NaH,kH etc) hydride as well as halogen hydride(HCl ,HF etc) too .
