as the palate of earth surface slides and keep moving . this creates a tension in palates. when the palates come over the friction the energy is released which creates vibratiins.
this causes shock waves.


earthquake are caused by disturbance in deep inside the uppermost layer of earth. the outermost layer of earth is not in a single piece these are then broken into pieces.
